Things have been quite tough, lately.
My mother-in-law fell ill a few weeks ago and everything changed. I had to stop doing what I was doing and was forced to neglect this blog and my business – because something huge was happening. This meant I stopped researching for blog posts, updating my Facebook page, or pinning nice photos to Pinterest. I simply could not focus on those things, my mind was full. I don’t know exactly when my life will be back to its normal routine, so probably I won’t be blogging much in the future, but there is something I wanted to share with you.
The only work-related activity that I kept alive lately was my #100DaysOfItalianWords project on Instagram.
Three months ago, I committed to sharing one photo a day, depicting an Italian word, and I was determined to keep it going. I am really glad I did it because it gave me something nice to think of every day and also helped me increase my Instagram following a great deal.
It seems that you guys really love the Italian language and I can’t help but grin with happiness!
I’ll never be able to tell you how happy I am when I read your comments on Instagram or when I get to answer your questions and see how big your enthusiasm for my country and its culture is. It makes me proud and happy and so determined to help you experience Italy and its culture at its best. I’ll work hard to help you learn the Italian language and to understand this crazy country better. I am already planning new projects on Instagram, for a start!
But before starting new projects, I want to thank you for the success of the #100DaysOfItalianWords one.
The best way I could find to say “grazie” is to host a giveaway. The winner will get the opportunity to take my Be Italian For A Month e-course, the 30-day virtual journey to Italy and its culture. If you want to participate, you can do it by following those simple rules: 1. follow my Instagram profile 2. repost the photo below on your own profile 3. tag it with the #iwanttobeitalianforamonth hashtag and 4. add a comment under your picture telling me why you want to be Italian for a month.
