I almost can’t believe I have been running Instantly Italy for four years now!
Every year the birthday of my business arrives without me thinking about it. It is always a surprise but also a time to look back and reflect on my work. I always take this moment as an opportunity to think about what I have done, what I could have done better, what was good and what not and to see how can I improve and do better in the future.
Before writing this post, I reread last year’s birthday post (you can check it if you want to know more about Instantly Italy’s story) and I have to confess that I was moved a little bit. In that post, I wrote a detailed account of how Instantly Italy came to life and I tried to describe the great feeling of a dream come true.
Actually, I need more words this year because the dream is turning into some kind of stable reality. As a matter of fact, for all these years, Instantly Italy has been my second job, while my main source of income was my work as a translator. But now, finally, things have improved and I can now say that Instantly Italy is my one and only job!
Finally, after all this time and a lot of hard work, Instantly Italy is my one and only business, the one that I have envisioned and created. You can’t imagine how happy I am when I say this. This is the result of working hard, as I said, but also of the craziness of me constantly believing in Instantly Italy, even when it didn’t seem to be growing as it was supposed to be.
When you start a business on the internet and you are entirely self-taught in online marketing and all related matters like I was, you start looking for resources on the web. You most likely end up following some super successful entrepreneurs who perfectly know the key to success. And when things do not seem to work for you, you start feeling bad.
I went through all this and the thought of quitting crossed my mind, but I really wanted Instantly Italy to be my work, I really wanted it to become more than a dream, I wanted it to turn into the reality it is now. So I am feeling really great today, even if I constantly worry that things may change in the future – it seems I can’t live without a bit of anxiety!
But change is good, don’t you think? Over the years, I basically focused on growing Instantly Italy without working on new products or services. I had a lot of ideas but I first wanted the business to become stable, so that I could have the time to properly work on new offers. Finally, the time has come and lots of new things will happen in 2019.
As you may already know if you are subscribed to my newsletter, I want to create a community – or membership site – where you can get all the resources you need for your Italian language learning purposes. But there’s more in the works and it is not only related to language, but to the other aspects of Instantly Italy (travel and culture) as well. So, expect some news in the coming months!
I said more than once in this post that all this is the result of hard work – and basically of me being just stubborn – but there is something else that has played a very big role: YOU. Without you and your constant support, Instantly Italy won’t be here today. Saying “grazie mille” is not enough to thank you guys for your constant presence, your support, your enthusiasm, and your faith in my work.
I usually take Instantly Italy’s birthday as a chance to give back what I receive from you and I always offer a discount on my products or services. This year I decided to do something different because there will be product changes and discounts in the future (stay tuned!). So I decided to celebrate in a more creative way.
This year, if you want, you can ask me anything (Italy or Italian related, of course). Do you need suggestions for an upcoming trip to Italy? Ask me. Is there a grammar topic you really can’t understand? Ask me. Do you want my mom’s recipe for making pasta? Ask me. Do you want to know how to properly pronounce bruschetta? Ask me.
For the whole month of March, I will be your personal Italian consultant for free. If you need travel recommendations, I will prepare a pdf file for you to keep. If you need language advice, I’ll either prepare a video or an audio file for you. If you need more information about some aspect of Italian culture, I’ll either send you a detailed email or write a proper post about it.
To be able to use my consulting services, there is only one thing you need to do: send me an email at cinzia@instantlyitaly.com with the object March Free Italian Consulting. I will do my best to reply as soon as I can but depending on the request, I might need some time to get back to you.

Hello Cinzia, Congraulations and happy 4th birthday. Well done!
I too have visited Cinque Terra and loved the time spent there.
Yes, I wore suitable footwear and clothing and that made me think of our local attraction called the Grouse Grind. It is a mountain climb that is widely used and talked about on the internet where many visitors wear unsuitable footwear climbing a mountain path!
Again, congratulations and many thanks for your valuable information. Ciao bella.

Thank you so much! I am happy you liked Cinque Terre, I am so sad when people tell me they have been there and didn’t like it because it was too crowded. Ciao
