You have been studying Italian for a while now and are finally planning to spend some time in Italy. You are not interested in taking a language course but you’d like to practice a bit of what you have learned while you are in the country.
You’d like to go to a market and buy some vegetables using your language skills or maybe you’d like to sit at a bar and order your breakfast, chatting in Italian just like locals do.
Maybe you’d like to review your food vocabulary while spending some time in a supermarket or visit a museum and use your Italian to share your thoughts on what you are seeing.
Or maybe you are just looking for fun and entertaining ways to review some Italian while being completely immersed in the language and the culture of Italy.
If you don’t want to venture out on your own but rather have someone by your side who encourages you to speak with locals, corrects your grammar and pronunciation mistakes and challenges you with little communicating tasks, I have the solution for you.
If you speak a bit of Italian and are looking for a way to practice Italian while living a daily life experience in Italy, I have what you need: Italian On The Road is the service for you.
Italian On The Road is the perfect opportunity to put your Italian skills into practice with a native speaker by your side, always ready to help, correct and support you.
If you are studying Italian and want to use some of your time in Italy to practice your language skills with a native speaker and teacher, Italian On The Road is perfect for you.
You could do a similar experience on your own, that’s true, but a teacher by your side will help you in many ways: a teacher can correct your mistakes and explain where and why you made that mistake, helping you not to make such mistake again. A teacher can help you figure out how to use a certain expression in context or clarify some grammar topics you are struggling with.
Moreover, doing this with a native speaker will help you understand some ways and habits of the Italian culture that you may not know. For example, you’ll learn when to say something and when not, which is something quite tricky, especially when it comes to idioms. This will be a wonderful opportunity to improve your Italian but also a perfect way to dive deeper into Italian culture.
Just like Chiacchieriamo, it can be tailored to your needs and likes and be exactly as you want it to be.
If you love art, we can practice your Italian while visiting a museum. If you’d rather enjoy some bella vita, we can review some grammar rules while sipping a Spritz. If you want to improve your food vocabulary, we can plan a visit to the local market and buy groceries together. And much more!
Italian On The Road is your way to practice Italian in Italy with a teacher by your side.
How does it work?
As I said, this service is completely customizable according to your needs and likes. So the first thing you need to do is send me an email with your request and I will answer you with a proposal and a quote. Please keep in mind that I live in the north of Italy – in Liguria, specifically – and I might not be able to offer this service everywhere in the country. But if you have a request, contact me anyway and we can discuss it.

Because I am Italian and I live in Italy! But also, because I am qualified to teach languages, holding a B.A in languages and communication and a master’s degree in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language and having years of experience in teaching (you can read all about my education and work experience here). Well, I also have been studying languages all my life and I know how difficult it is. And, most of all, because I love to interact with people who love Italian and I am happy to help them improve it!
