Be Italian For A Month is the product I am most proud of – so far.
If you still don’t know about it, it is a 30-day virtual journey into the Italian culture. One email a day, for thirty days, will give you the opportunity of diving deeper into our way of life, scratching the surface of the Italian culture and learning more about our habits, thoughts, traditions, language – you name it.
Since the very moment the idea of Be Italian For A Month came to my mind, I put a lot of effort into crafting the best experience possible. I wanted it to be a virtual trip which actually felt like real. I wanted you guys to feel immersed in the culture exactly as we are, for 30 days.
This is why I thought of all the things that make us Italians, with our strange ways and our traditions, our beliefs and our habits. I made a list of all of them, talked about them with my Italian friends, removed a few things, added others that I had forgotten in the first place. When I finally came up with 30 topics regarding Italian lifestyle and culture, Be Italian For A Month was born.
But what is Be Italian For A Month, exactly?
As my sales page says, Be Italian For A Month is a 30-day virtual journey to Italy. But you won’t travel to Italy simply as a tourist, you’ll travel with a local – me, actually. You won’t just see the beauties of art, the great landscape, or enjoy our amazing food, you’ll also understand what’s behind certain behaviors, why we do certain things, what we believe in, and a lot of other things. It will be like traveling with your Italian friend and it will be great fun – as travelling with friends always is.
Since this is a whole new product and a whole new concept, I decided it needed some further explanation. I have already introduced it in a previous post, which was focused on how the idea came to my mind and what was my goal in creating this experience. Now I want to do something different.
Until now I have just explained what Be Italian For A Month is.
Now I want to show it.
How? Well, is there a better place than Instagram to do it? I do love Instagram a real lot and so I decided to use it to show what’s inside Be Italian For A Month. Beginning tomorrow and for 30 days, I’ll be posting a photo a day on my Instagram feed with the hashtag #beitalianforamonth. Each photo will show a topic that’s covered in the virtual trip, so it will be a nice way to take a peek at it.
I’ll be showing you traditions and habits, quirky ways and celebrations, the beauty of the scenery and the yumminess of the food. I’ll take you with me on day trips or to Sunday lunches, you’ll help me prepare salsa for the winter or cook traditional food. We’ll do a lot of things together and you’ll experience Italy the Italian way – exactly as you would do in Be Italian For A Month e-course.
